"I can’t believe it. All my Christmases have come at once"

About: Housing Services - West Ryde

(as a service user),

I have been homeless since July last year and have tried everywhere and everyone to get assistance with housing.

Today I thought I’d give it another go, after been disappointed previously with other services. I contacted Mission Australia who put me into contact with Housing NSW. The office I attended was at West Ryde and was attended to by Natasha and Daniella. Two of the most wonderful, helpful ladies I have ever met. They were unrelenting in their pursuit to find me residency and in not even one day I have been provided with temporary accommodation with a view to permanent accommodation in the very near future. I am beyond words and cannot thank and express my gratitude enough to these two amazing women and the Dept. of Housing. Thank you for giving me the promise of a future.

Thank you @nolongerhomeless for sharing your story. I was sorry to hear that you have been homeless since July and I am delighted that the team at West Ryde have found you accommodation.

We are determined to reduce the number of people who find themselves homeless. It is heartening to hear the human side of the experience and the impact of the work we do.

Good luck in the future and I hope we will soon be hearing that you have a place you can call home.

Once again, thank you.
