"The incredible support and care I received from Nurse Liz"

About: Box Hill Hospital

(as the patient),

I was admitted into Box Hill hospital with pancreatitis. I was rather traumatised by a number of incidents that had occurred to me over the past week and scared and upset about being in hospital. Liz was my assigned nurse and she comforted me and educated me about my condition. She even took her break with me to give me some fresh air and a pep talk.

The service was more than I could have asked for. What an angel. Thank you Box Hill.

Dear Ellsie,

I was sorry to hear about your traumatic incidents and your fear of being in hospital but was heartened to hear about the great care provided by Liz. I was so pleased to hear that Liz went above and beyond the call of duty by spending her break with you - we are very fortunate to have nurses like Liz working at Box Hill Hospital.

I will pass your feedback on to the Director of Nursing at Box Hill Hospital so that she can thank Liz. Thank you for taking the time to share your story and I hope you are now recovering well.

Kind regards,

Jo Gatehouse, Director, Quality, Planning and Innovation (Acute Health and Consumer Participation and Patient Experience)
