"Grieving the loss of my beloved husband."

About: Geelong Hospital Geelong Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

My husband was taken to Geelong Emergency Department from home in the ambulance due to not being able to breathe properly and not feeling too well at all. A CAT scan was done and his first ever chest x-ray which found nothing wrong. The doctor told him he had a virus and he said to the doctor, "I haven't got a virus, I have a back pain that won't go away and I keep passing out at times. I don't have a virus." When I got into the hospital with our son they were telling him to get up and go home there is nothing to worry about, it is just a bad virus. My husband had never been to hospital in his life this was the first time as he was always a well man who looked after himself. A couple of months later he collapsed at home due to an aneurysm. He died in hospital.
