I have a home. I wanted to thank all the staff at Housing West Ryde, especially Ray who went out of his way to accommodate and care for me. My social worker, David, at Mission Australia Hornsby, a special thanks. Thank you for all their care and support and all they've done for me. They maybe only doing their job, but they seemed to go out of their way to accommodate people. For the past four weeks they have allowed me to rest at peace and sleep at night and I cannot thank them enough. They provided me with temporary accommodation and I am truly lost for words. To Nicole and Leah, thank you, two of the hardest working people I've seen. I feel blessed and just wanted to thank you all so much, you have made a huge difference to my life.

Thank you @nolongerhomeless for sharing your story. I see that you first wrote to us about a month ago to share your experience of finding temporary accommodation with the help of our West Ryde Housing team, and I am delighted to hear that you have settled in well. Please continue to provide us with updates on your progress – it is important to us to hear how you’re going.

We are determined to reduce the number of people who find themselves homeless in Northern Sydney, and I am very pleased that Ray, Nicole and Leah, along with David at Mission Australia – one of our valued partners – have been able to provide you with the help you need.

While they may be doing their job, the chance to make a difference to the lives of people like you is the reason we come to work each day.
