"Elderly Indigenous War Veteran still waiting to see an Occupational Therapist"

A few months ago when Tony Abbot was Prime Minister, one of his last acts was to fly three elderly indigenous war veterans all the way over to Thursday Island in the Torres Strait to personally present them with a medal each to recognise their effort in defending Australia and its people back in WW2.

He asked each veteran what he could he do to make their life better. One of my clients said he would like a new prosthetic leg because the old one had fallen apart and my other client asked if he could get a motorised scooter. Well my first client died at Christmas time just before he was due to go and get the new leg. My client in Broome is still waiting to see an occupational therapist so he can be assessed for a motorised scooter. I know that there is a back log, but hey, have a heart for this old indigenous veteran. His time is running out, his needs are small and he just needs to know that the world still has kind people in it. He knows their are other people in the line but to be honest, he is at the end of his tether just waiting and waiting. Unfortunately, every time I have given him a time frame that was indicated to me, it hasn't happened. Its really hard to explain to him in his last chapter.
