Canberra Hospital has refused to even give me an outpatients appointment because they state my doctor 's referral was not good enough, as my doctor asked for an opinion and ongoing management from a specialist clinic for severe pain. There reason for not giving me an appointment - the specialist read the referral and doesn't deem it urgent and triaged as such. I'm a bit confused I was referred to a specialist so he could exam me at an outpatients appointment and find the problem. I live 5 hours from Canberra. My doctor referred me because he is not a specialist. How could my doctor add more information when the doctor does not know what is wrong? I've gone round and round in circles and 6 months later still no appointment. My condition has worsened and I feel like no-one is listening
"Round and round in circles and still no appointment."
