"A melanoma miracle"

About: Maroondah Hospital

(as the patient),

While waiting to go into surgery to have my breast reconstruction, an enthusiastic student plastic surgeon saw a mole on my arm and said, ‘I don’t like the look of that’. Thank you to her diligence because otherwise I would still be floating around with it on my arm and it turned out to be a melanoma.

Dear Dishmoptop

First of all, many thanks for sharing your very positive story on Patient Opinion.

We really do appreciate your feedback and so pleased that you were able to experience our care and service at its very best. Even better that this timely care may have prevented something much more concerning. It makes me feel so proud of our wonderful staff.

I will be sure to pass on your feedback to the staff at Maroondah Hospital and also to the management team. Your feedback will no doubt give them an extra spring in their step.

Thanks again and have an enjoyable Easter too.

Kind regards, Alan Lilly
