"A simple visit to the hospital in Albany"

About: Albany Health Campus Great Southern Health

(as the patient),

It amazes me that in such a big organisation you can still feel that your important. I attended the hospital today for a simple blood test procedure. From the interaction with the very pleasant clerk at the front door through to my phlebotomist I was continually engaged in polite but genuine conversation. The procedure was explained thoroughly and even if it took two attempts to get my blood it was done in the most compassionate way. I require further diagnostic tests and this was again explained in a professional and clear manner.

Dear Still Important

Thank you for taking the time to tell us of your experience having your blood taken on the Albany Health Campus. Having blood taken is never a pleasant experience so I am pleased to hear that all the staff you encountered were so polite and interested. Hopefully this took the sting out of the procedure.

I will make sure to pass your comments on to the team as it is important that we share all feedback with our teams. Sometimes we forget to acknowledge when we are doing well and only focus on what is not going so well.

I wish you well and hope that any future interactions with the team on the Albany Health Campus are equally pleasant.

Susan Kay

Regional Director
