"Having my first baby at the Birth Centre Townsville QLD"

I am 30 years old and pregnant with my first baby. I wanted the most natural labour and the right people supporting my decisions. I started off going through a private hospital and after a few weeks realised I was not being supported in my choices, a possible water birth. From this point I booked into the Townsville Birth Centre.

I can not speak highly enough of the consistent care and most experienced midwife I was provided with throughout my 42 weeks of pregnancy and most amazing birth experience. Not once did I feel like I could have been looked after better.

My husband and I keep speaking of and will never forget how comfortable and relaxed we were spending time at the birth centre following the birth of our baby, we would not have had that same experience in the private hospital rooms.

Our midwife Penny was there for us anytime by phone, appointments at the birth centre and follow-up visits at our home following the birth. She gave us the birth experience I had always hoped for and would love to go back when we have more children.
