"Non-judgmental welcoming organisation"

About: Drug ARM Australasia - Warradale

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I have found Drug ARM at Warradale and its employees to be very non-judgmental, friendly, and informative. The atmosphere is very welcoming.

Today I spoke with a young lady called Debby who was extremely patient, informative, had a warm personality, seemed very caring and offered solutions to my never ending complex dilemmas I am confronted with on a daily basis. She offered solutions to my problems, seemed interested, she was very lovely, compassionate and caring. Because of Debby's knowledge it has resulted in me becoming a CAFSS client - I came into Drug ARM as a CNP client. I envisage this step as a positive move forward in reducing my usage, gaining more insight to my own reasons for using. Even though I am somewhat aware of my reasons and do realise why I use and my trigger points but there is always room for self improvement, self awareness and can see nothing but a positive experience evolving from this program.

My sincere thanks to Debby, a delightful young lady with a caring open personality and is definitely an asset for this company. I find Drug ARM and the employees in general to be very non-judgmental and very friendly with exceptional people skills which is very comforting and somewhat refreshing.

I believe (my opinion only) that it is vital for a place such as this to remain purely focused on the one issue that it works with (alcohol and drugs) rather than a multi-functional business that can be confronting to individuals that experience anxiety associated with big public areas and may subject them to disproving looks and comments from ignorant bystanders. I feel this can be avoided by leaving this as a smaller type business purely focusing on the issue at hand.

Thank you Debby and all the wonderful people who have taken the time to listen to me, accept me, and not judge me.
