"Post op recovery a danger zone"

About: Sunnybank Private Hospital

(as the patient),

There is nothing that stirs the blood more than being woken by machine jackhammers, circular saws and hammer drills at 6 in the morning, especially when you are in pain and desperately need rest. We pay full price for a private hospital, and have every right not to be part of a construction zone. My room is adjacent to one of them! I have a sign on the wall opposite the door that states Danger construction zone do not enter. This is an outrage! ! ! But the story does not end there, I think hospital managers need to actually spend 24 hours shackled to a drip and be totally reliant on the overworked nurses (who are fabulous) for all your bodily needs. They would learn that they need to fix the hospital trolleys and wheeled carts, these are so noisy they would wake the dead, especially when wheeled briskly by ward staff early or late in the day. They would learn that their staff are overworked, try waiting to go to the toilet when you have a bursting bladder and need a nurse to unshackle you from the machines. The level of noise in this hospital is disgusting it needs to be fixed.
