"Wonderful care received at Broome Hospital"

Having spent several months in Perth hospitals, Silver Chain and Health Choices I was able to come home to Broome because the hospital could dress my wound regularly.

I have been attending the wound clinic with Jan and Leonie. The treatment I have received has been excellent.   These nurses have been so caring and under stood my frustration as my wound stays the same (due to my illness and treatment for the illness).

They regularly try new dressings and consult with wound staff in Perth when appropriate.

The Emergency Department  have also been helpful and obliging when I need my wound dressed over the weekend.

I have also had three short stays in hospital due to a blockage in the bowel.

Again the staff were all caring and understanding, particularly Dr Sue who followed up with much needed advice away from the Emergency Dept.

All the doctors have gone the "extra mile" to explain the medical details. This is rare in a city hospital.

Thank you to all the hospital staff for looking after me so well.
