"Seemed to be waiting in an empty waiting room."

About: Geraldton Hospital

(as the patient),

I went into triage to get some pain relief, the waiting room was empty, no ambulance, the lady at the counter wasn't very friendly, acted as if she didnt want to be at her job, which is understandable, but anyways I went through the routine wait wait wait, then I got up and left after an hour or so, I know it's not a life or death situation but if you have ever had a cyst you would know the constant pain you're in from it, the point I'm getting at is how hard is it to take a 5 minute examination and then provide pain releif, instead of being treated like your wasting their time, if I could get pain releif elsewhere legally I would have but that isn't the case.

Thank you for sharing your story on Patient Opinion. I am sorry that your interaction with our service has left you feeling disappointed, I realise just how frustrating waiting can be especially when you are in pain. I know that the Emergency Department can be quite busy behind the scenes and patients may be required to wait.
