After surviving a 100% blockage heart attack it was recommended by the staff at Box Hill Hospital that I attend a Cardiac Rehabilitation Program at Wantirna Health Services. I was a little hesitant at first but eventually agreed to attend the program. This program consisted of 1 hour monitored exercise personally tailored to your health level and 1 hour education that covered various topics to include Dietitian, Pharmacist and Physio. These sessions, twice a week, gave me the support and understanding that I needed. I have recently completed my Cardiac Rehab Program and would recommend it to anybody that has experienced cardiac problems.

Georgie, Matt and the team helped me through a scary and traumatic experience and gave me the confidence I needed to live life once again. This program introduced me to other people that were going through the same or similar experience and we supported each other through the process and journey back to health. Thanks Georgie, Matt, Kelly, Rita and Brian for helping me through the program.

Dear Burger

Thank you very much for sharing your experience in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program on Patient Opinion. I was very heartened reading your story and felt a great sense of pride in our staff and the wonderful work which they do in our organisation every day. It also made me stop and think about just how good our health system really is.

I will take great pleasure in passing your feedback on to Georgie, Matt, Kelly, Rita and Brian who will no doubt be quite chuffed that you have given them a special mention. I will let the local management team know too.

I do hope that you are recovering well after your heart attack and that you continue your journey back to full and good health.
