"Couldn't wait for my baby to be born, my body can't cope."

About: Wagga Wagga Base Hospital

(as the patient),

When I was almost 39 weeks pregnant I believed my pregnancy was starting to stress my body out, it was too much pressure for my body, it wasn't coping well.  I had high blood pressure blood and protein in my urine. I had been sent from my Doctor plus another doctor for an induction. It seemed to me that both inductions were ignored by the hospital. I didn't believe my body could handle it and felt it was endangering me and my unborn baby.  But the hospital stated they wouldn't induce me. I was sent there and that was an absolute nightmare as after walking from one end of hospital to the other, after basically a 2 plus hour drive, I was told the lifts didn't work that I have to walk 6 flights of stairs and that I need to go back to get a green card so I can get into maternity.  I do not believe that is how patients should be treated. Then to be told that they don't do inductions at night. Why wasn't this told to my obstetrician as I was with her when she rang Wagga Wagga hospital late in the afternoon. Seriously, I honestly should have driven to Sydney hospital instead. My body couldn't take any more of the stress and I think it caused me to get high blood pressure and I wanted to pass out. The hospital should have told my Doctor. But instead I have to wait for a couple of days, feeling very ill, weak to see my doctor. My headache was so bad and I had to go to Doctors 2 days in a row. The Doctor I saw said I have Pre-eclampsia.  All my babies have been born on the 28 week and never given me any problems. I couldn't drive back for the 3rd time to Wagga, it was too much for my body to take. The back pain, the migraine, I felt so weak. Very disappointed that a hospital treats patients like this and even more disgusted that a hospital seemed to ignore not 1 but 2 Doctor's requests for induction.

I have been in so much pain waiting to see my obstetrician again.  Can't sleep. I am now looking into an emergency c section via Sydney hospital that is almost 5 hours away. I can't breathe properly and feel like I am slowly dying but I don't feel Wagga hospital care and put me and my unborn in danger.
