My partner has had 2 surgeries done on their hands for carpal tunnel first it was the right hand done last year and everything was fine with that, then went in to have the left hand done this year that was ok, the stitches were in for almost 2 weeks. However, had to go to ED of the Ipswich hospital as the hand had become very infected. The doctor that was seen took the stiches out but also took a swab of the hand that's ok. Then got a phone call from the same doctor telling my partner that they had to go straight over to see the GP the very next day to get some tablets as there was Golden Staph in the hand so that's ok. Had a few vistis to the doctor who did the left hand and still the hand is very, very, very tender to touch and also now has lost feeling on the right side of the hand and still nothing has been done so I'm not at all happy with how this has been done.
"Golden staph has turned an easy surgery into ongoing pain."
