"Beautiful staff in Ward 7.1"

(as the patient),

I was in Ward 7. 1 and can I say my experience was a very pleasant one, given the unpleasant reason for being there.

The treatment provided by the nurses & staff was incredible. I was treated with great care and respect. I would really like to give a big thank you to a lovely young lass named Suzi. Suzi was the weekend cleaner on this ward. She walked in daily with a smile on her face happy to just be there, She did an impeccable job in my room. I was not feeling so great after surgery and this young lass showed kindness, compassion and care. She was happy to go and get me clean towels and help me find my glasses even though I knew she would have been awfully busy. Her presence was warming and very embracing. I don't think the smaller people get the recognition they truly deserve. So I wanted to take this opportunity to do just that. Thank you Suzi you made my days brighter. This was my first visit to the new hospital I was thoroughly impressed with it in every aspect.

Many thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback on Patient Opinion. I trust you are well on your way to recovery post your surgery.

I am very proud of our staff at Eastern Health and the care they provide each and every day. Based on feedback such as yours we have been focusing more on staff being courteous and kind and it is very evident that Suzi did just that.

I will make sure your feedback is passed on Suzi and the staff in ward 7.1. The new facilities at Box Hill Hospital are enjoyed by both staff and patients and I am glad your experience reflects the wonderful environment we are so grateful to have.
