A little white ago, I received an injury and sort treatment at Box Hill Hospital ED and found it was a fracture, requiring crutches until an outpatient appointment the following week (ED staff were awesome! ! )
A week later I had a CT of my foot, then I saw a doctor in the "Fracture Clinic" at Box Hill Hospital. That Dr (? Benjamin) said the fracture seemed to be on the CT but there was no offical report, but that I would be contacted if needed post a radiology meeting that day. That doctor was nice, not very helpful or forthcoming with information about the work cover claim paperwork, but seemed to deliver the necessary info. Said to continue wearing the Cam boot until the next follow-up, but I could walk on it with the boot on.
A month later I went to the "Fracture Clinic" at Box Hill outpatients again. The doctor we saw (Cameron) said the CT showed that there was no fracture. But could not really give us anymore info (ie, would treatment have been different if we have had known this 3 weeks previously, why is there still pain, what about going back to work), just said see a physio, probably ligament damage and that I can walk on it now.
I left the appointment feeling very confused about the whole situation, whether my past 3 weeks of no work and not driving was a waste of time, etc.
