Recently I had my baby at the Broome hospital via caesarean section! The c-section was not initially planned but once the decision was made I felt 100% confident and calm about the whole thing. Dr. Kev & my midwife Tracey were fantastic and explained everything to my husband and I so we knew what was ahead. The theatre team were amazing, including the anaes doc Alex - explaining things to us as they happened. Our baby was born into a calm environment of genuine caring professionals & we could not have asked for more. All the midwives that cared for us the days following were amazing!!

The only thing I would like to suggest is a re-vamp of the only unit that has not had an overhaul maternity!! How amazing would it be to have a birthing centre as part of an expansion on what is already there? I think some more natural light would be amazing and definitely private rooms for all!!

Congratulations with the safe arrival of your second baby and thank you for sharing your story on Patient Opinion

I will pass on your your feedback and suggestions for the maternity unit. Yes, private rooms, natural light and a birthing center would be an amazing asset! I will also ensure all the staff are aware of your appreciation.

Once again, congratulations on your second birth. Life will certainly be busy second time around. Take time to recover from your c- section and I hope you have the opportunity to get some rest!
