"Drug ARM volunteering at Warradale (CNP)"

About: Community And Family Support Service (CAFSS) - Drug ARM - Warradale Healthy Options Australia

(as a volunteer/advocate),

Positive engagement and interaction with a wide variety of Clean Needle Program (CNP) clients and their individual needs. This enables me to be able to build on my skill set and education, as well as build rapport with recurring clients. At times it would be beneficial to the CNP workers and their clients to have a less chaotic and more calming environment.

Hi student volunteer,

I take note of your comment around building a more calming environment for our CNP clients, especially as you have hit the nail on the head regarding the importance around building rapport. That building of rapport is definitely key with recurring CNP clients as they are quite often a marginalised group of people. Therefore, it's definitely something that we have taken note of ourselves and so we will endeavour to find ways of building more calmness into the area.

Finally, thank you for being part of the Drug ARM team and we encourage the building of even more positive experiences!

Kind regards,

Debby
