"Reassured and informed at all times."

About: Angliss Hospital

(as the patient),

Emergency surgery after delivering my baby. After loosing blood I was put into theatre where they stitched my internal tears. The surgeons and midwives were amazing. They kept me calm and informed after a delivery. I was never scared or worried about what was going on because they were so re assuring at all times.

The surgeon then followed up with me twice the next day and I have a appointment to follow up and debrief again in a month.

The midwives stayed after their shift had ended to ensure that my partner and new baby were all ok.

I could not be happier with my care, it even prompted people around me to donate blood after my huge loss.

Dear Never scared

What an eventful experience you have had!!

Thank you so very much for taking the time to provide your feedback on Patient Opinion. It is through your comments we are able to recognize the wonderful care and service our staff provide. Of course and unfortunately, this may not always be the case.

From your comments, the staff clearly demonstrated exceptional courtesy and kindness, not only to you, but also to your partner! It is so great to hear that from your experience others are providing support to those in need through donating blood - every little bit helps!!

I trust you have recovered from the surgery and life is shaping into the new routine and you and your partner are enjoying every minute with your new baby!

Many thanks again and I will make sure the staff involved receive your wonderful feedback.

Take care and kind regards

David
