My daughter went into Box Hill hospital to give birth to my grandchild. She went through 30 hours of labour and then had to have an emergency caesarian. It took her and her husband quite a while to get over the traumatic experience of this birth and she is reluctant to have any more babies. Her GP was appalled that she was allowed to be in labour for so long and understands my daughter’s reluctance to have another child. I feel the midwives there need a re-education on modern childbirth. I would not recommend this hospital to any expectant mothers. It is unfortunate that in these modern times women need to suffer this way.

I hope your daughter is recovering physically from the emergency caesarian and your grandchild is in good health. I note from your comments your daughter is not doing as well emotionally.
