"Care & Respect for 4th C-Section"

About: Angliss Hospital

(as the patient),

Recently we welcomed our 4th child, born by elective C section at the Angliss Hospital.

All my children have been born at the Angliss (even I was born at the Angliss) and have always found the midwives and care to be fantastic.

Being a fourth caesarean, I was aware of the risks associated, however, as a Jehovah's Witness I also requested that no blood transfusions be used should the need arise.

Dr Chris, along with the whole team who delivered our baby, showed the utmost respect - although they made me aware of the risks, they also were happy & prepared to use blood conservation techniques (Dr Chris has much experience in caring for Jehovah's Witnesses) and this made me feel very comfortable heading into theatre. My blood loss was minimal and recovery was the easiest and quickest of all four caesareans. I am very grateful and thankful for the care & respect shown by all at the Angliss, thank you x

Dear Respected

Firstly, congratulations on having your fourth child - absolutely wonderful this child was delivered safe and well.

I was so pleased to hear that all staff at the Angliss Hospital treated you with courtesy, kindness and respect and you were provided with all the information you needed to confirm your choices.

It is through feedback such as yours that we are able to celebrate the great work of our staff and in some instances, see where we need to improve. I will make sure your feedback is provided to the staff involved, but particularly Dr. Chris and Dr. Georgia. They will be really pleased to hear the positive impact they had on your experience.

I trust life is getting into a new routine and you and your family are savouring every minute with your new baby.

Kindest regards and take care

David
