Dr. Neil and High Risk Nurse Vanessa were the most wonderful supportive and medically knowledgeable professionals. They were ever so caring and supportive during my care as a high risk patient at Box Hill Hospital Maternity.

I went into labour naturally as a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Caesarean), however understood my challenges as a VBAC patient with a significant chronic health condition. I was dilated to 4cm and proud of our achievement. If the cord had not prolapsed to a code green c-sec we believe that we would have had the natural birth we had planned for. However the safety of my baby and family was always more important than a natural birth. Thanks to the quick thinking and efficient midwives because our beautiful baby was delivered by emergency c-sec and entered the world alive and well with mother, father and older sibling to cuddle, kiss and love Bub from first sight!

Thank-you Dr Neil, Nurse Vanessa and Michelle who supported me through labour! ! !

Its really wonderful to hear you had such wonderful care for the birth of your baby. It is evident from your feedback you were informed of your options and knew what to expect in the event things needed to change with your plan of care.

I appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback on Patient Opinion. It is through this we are able to celebrate the wonderful efforts of our staff to provide a positive experience, and also at times to hear and learn where we need to improve.

I will make sure that Dr Neil, Midwife Vanessa and Michelle receive your feedback along with the broader maternity team.

I trust life at home is adapting well with your new baby, you have established your new routine and able to cherish every moment.
