"Hernia Care"

About: Broome Health Campus

(as the patient),

Unfortunately I developed a hernia which required an urgent operation. The staff in Emergency where fast caring and had a great sense of humour. I even left the ward with a smiley face drawn on my stomach. The lovely lady who gave me my ultrasound considered after scanning me adding to the artwork on my abdomen. I was then admitted to a ward and cared for by some fantastic nurses who carried on doing their job whilst being sworn at by patients and still retained their professionalism and sense of humour. The surgeons anaesthetists and associated surgical crew were informative, helpful, friendly and professional. I was visited before and after the operation and very thoroughly explained the procedure the risks and the after care. Every staff member that dealt with me from admittance to departure made my stay as comfortable and pleasant as they could. I cannot praise Broome Hospital staff highly enough and sincerely thank all involved with my brief stay at this facility.

Dear David,

You and your team deserve positive feedback.

I was in a bad way and not once did I feel stressed left in the dark or uncared for.

All of the people and I mean all of them where attentive caring professional and with a fantastic sense of humor, in my short stay I watched nurses and doctors abused and sworn at who all handled themselves with great dignity and professionalism it is almost like they expected this treatment Very upsetting to watch professionals being treated this way especially when they are doing their very best to help their patients.

You are all very special people and thank you all for the tremendous job you continue to do.

And yes I am recovering very well.

Kindest Regards
