"My son"

The night of the psychosis for me was the most heartbreaking thing a mother can witness that's not death. I in fact saw the darkness in my child's eyes and the blank stare of someone who wasn't there anymore. My child was gone, was no longer present and my child was not only hurting them self but also hurting me. This is the night I knew I needed to get help, but didn't quite know where to go or what to do, then I received a phone call from Claire. This was the most beautiful and important phone call I might receive in this lifetime. I was drained, distraught, sick - I just felt hopeless as a mum. I should have been able to fix this and I couldn't. Without Claire's help and the help of Bianca I am sure that my child wouldn't be here today. My child would either be dead or would be lost to a world that there was no coming back from. Lives lived Well, I cannot thank you enough for the support you have given me, my family and my child. I have seen my child struggle through the first four months in rehabilitation, to wanting to participate and strive to be the wonderful person my child was put here to be. Your tools of confidence extend to the family not just the client. Without the advice I've received and the support, I truly would have given in and maybe even started feeding the addiction again, so that my child wouldn't hate me. Stand strong mums it's hard and so sad but it's so worth it. My child is a success story and has graduated from the program and I stand so proud beside my child with a river of tears and a mountain of joy. This is what I'm experiencing at the thought of all the possibilities my child now has ahead for a long healthy and wonderful life. Claire, Bianca thank you for going above and beyond what is expected of you in your job. Lives Lived Well is needed and saves lives.
