"Non-judgemental and professional support from carer counsellor"

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I am not making a complaint. A particular carer has been my carer counsellor for some years. During that time, this carer has always been reliable and punctual, is non-judgemental and professional, supportive without being intrusive. This carer is a patient listener, never leading the carer who has been under enormous pressure and strain for many years looking after an elderly person with a serious mental condition, impulse control disorder and dementia.

I couldn’t recommend this carer more highly. They are a tremendous asset to HammondCare.

Thank you so much for your story. Carers have an important role in providing ongoing care and support for those in need and we recognise that this can be hard at times. It is so lovely to hear that you have felt supported and valued by someone you trust to be reliable and non-judgemental.
