"Long waiting time for dental health care services."

When I was on the DSP I signed up to wait for, what I believed to be, your stupid, non-existent dental health care. After 14 months without receiving anything I found a crappy job paying $400 a week, so I no longer qualify for treatment but can't afford to pay for the treatment I need myself. So I guess I live in a country where I have to live with agonising tooth pain every day.

Dear I’m in Pain:

We were so disappointed to read of your experience. We are sorry that you waited for 14 months to access dental care and were not seen. We imagine that it must be very difficult to live with dental pain for an extended period of time.

Like you, we are concerned about the issues highlighted by your experience and we would like to further evaluate why you were unable to access our service. West Moreton Dental Services has a central contact Centre which allows appointments to be made as quickly as possible in order to ensure all eligible patients in pain are assessed quickly. Based on the presenting symptoms and your eligibility, appointments can occur within 24 to 72 hours dependent on the day of the week.

We would be grateful if you would contact us directly to discuss your personal experience and to see if there is anything we can do to assist. Please be assured your call would be welcome and we are sincere in our offer of assistance.
