"A Big Thank You to Staff at Lives Lived Well, Mirikai"

I would like to say a big thank you. I would not be where I am today without the unconditional love and support I received from you all. From reception to TC, to Banjara Medical Centre and the night staff. I always felt heard and respected even when I wasn't getting my way, to me that is really special. Mirikai has been my home for the many months and in some way you have all been my parents. I may have not felt safe, heard or respected growing up and now that's okay. I don't feel like I have been given the short straw anymore as I have felt all the love and support I've ever wished for right here. I can’t thank you enough for your patience, faith and time. You all had faith in me before I had faith in myself. I am so grateful and appreciative to all the boundaries that where held and consequences given as they really taught me a lesson, if not a few. Again, I may not have shown it, but I have loved my journey here and I am excited to find out what the rest holds. I am also anxious, but in hindsight I know you all will support me when I need it. I have learned so much from this place, it is utterly unbelievable. Not only from the classes and the process groups, but from you all. You all have given me words of wisdom that I will remember for a long time. As I have grown through the program I find myself communicating with you all on a personal level, not just staff to resident. It has been really cool getting to know you all on that level. I am really grateful for that as you are all pretty rad people. At times I found myself quite surprised because you were all so cool and unique. I wish nothing but the best for you all.
