"Box Hill Hospital Parking"

About: Box Hill Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

I had to take my wife in to the emergency department at Box Hill Hospital. When we arrived it was 7: 40am and the parking meter right next to the entrance would not allow me to buy a ticket, as ticketed parking starts at 8: 00am. I took my wife in to be admitted and as soon as I had filled in the paperwork and had her settled in the waiting room, I returned to my car to move it (this was as about 8: 25am). I (and several others in the car park) all had parking tickets. I believe the b******s at Whitehorse City Council know about this ticket machine and target the emergency department early in the morning to try and catch people out.

Dear Rhet

Many thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback on Patient Opinion. I'm sorry this has been your experience when supporting your wife during her attendance in the Box Hill Hospital Emergency Department. I hope the rest of your and your wife's experience was positive.

As you have pointed out, the management of the parking meters is conducted by Whitehorse Council, if you would like me to make contact with them to see if there is anything that can be done, please email me privately at David.plunkett@easternhealth.org.au

With kind regards

David
