My adult child has been seeing Candy only recently for some support with growing up, anxiety, being more responsible and especially making better choices with regards to taking drugs and looking after themself. I contacted the Gold Coast Drug Council in Burleigh Heads for advice and support for my adult child when I saw that they were starting to spiral out of control and they put me in touch with Candy from the YODA team (Youth Outreach Drug and Alcohol). I am very pleased that I made contact because after only a few weeks I can already see changes and I feel that my child is getting back on track. They really like to meet with Candy and feels very supported and listened to. I want to also thank her so much for recently going all out to help when my child had an accident just prior to their meeting. Candy assessed the injury as serious and needing medical treatment although my child thought it would be fine and she took my child to the Emergency Department at the hospital. Not only that, she stayed for the whole duration of the wait. I really appreciate her dedication and willingness to help my child and feel that she really went above and beyond and I cannot thank her enough for her care. I am very impressed with the level of care and concern of this organisation and really down to earth treatment which has allowed my adult child to feel very connected and interested in making things better for themself. Thank you so much.
