About: Creating Options Program - Drug ARM -Brisbane

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I have heavily drank alcohol since my teenage years and used other drugs too. I have been to rehab and detoxes and seen many counsellors over the years, but my Drug ARM counsellor, Janene, has been the only one to get through to me. She has been firm but caring and counselled very professionally. Counselling has raised my self esteem and I feel normal again! I've stopped drinking and drugs and I'm looking forward to the future ... who knows where I would be today without this help - I'm very thankful to Drug ARM - I'm stronger today than I have ever been. The program works.

Thanks so much for your feedback; it's hugely rewarding for us to know the impact our worker, Janene, and our Creating Options program has had on your life - I'm sure Janene will be delighted to get this feedback too! Being professional, meaning being open and transparent with communication, setting clear expectations and doing what we say we're going to do from start to finish is very important to us so I'm glad that has been your experience.

It really sounds like you feel you are yourself again, stronger than ever, and have been able to make some big changes that have you looking forward to the future.

Well done on what you have achieved and all the very best on your continuing journey.
