"Emergency Department"

I entered the emergency room, prepared for a long waiting period, however I was put through 30 minutes after I arrived. The staff in the emergency department were incredibly efficient, patient and caring. Despite not being quite an emergency (referral to go to ED from GP) they investigated my case thoroughly and with a great deal of care. Not once did I see a patient in that room left alone for more than 15 minutes, either a nurse or a doctor checked on me regularly, gave me an update on what they were doing to help me, offered medication, water, blankets or just a quick chat. I have been in the hospital quite a few times, I have never enjoyed it (who does? ) and was quite apprehensive about this visit. The ED staff made me comfortable and genuinely cared for as I dealt with something quite painful. We are always so quick to complain when something goes wrong but we rarely give praise where it is owed. I'd like to thank the staff that worked Australia Day at Armadale Hospital for their kind services given to me. Your compassion and efficiency in a trying job such as this continues to astound me.
