A big shout out to the staff at Broome Hospital- just had a 24hr stint starting in ED, then HDU before the ward with my child. Broome Hospital and staff have been amazing- very competent, thorough assessment and follow through. Sometimes referring to Perth for additional opinions.
Dr Michael, Dr Jackson and Amanda and Courtney in ED; Annette in HDU; Judy, Gloria, Jess, and Dr Oscar, on the ward. Many others we met briefly or would have been working in the background. Gluten free diet was delivered with the change in rooms too! You could sense the care and warmth from the staff to give the best medical care. And to feel and see this as my child moved from one area and across multiple staff, to me is something the hospital and staff can be proud of.
We came away from this experience feeling we had been in good hands and it was made as least stressful as possible on the patient and family.
