The staff acted as if they were not trained in recognising or acknowledging the elderly: pain relief, being comfortable, being warm, the dying process, dementia or communicating with the patient’s family.
We had the endless pain of watching and now remembering this. Friends who visited were shocked, then appalled that this is the demise of our loved ones.
