I reached out to this organisation when I was detoxing from a substance. I was extremely unstable, emotional and suicidal. I spoke with the receptionist team and asked for their help to get me safe. I went there in the hope they could just lock me up. All of their professionals were unavailable, probably with patients but they calmed me down. I was irrational and probably difficult to understand but they were so patient.
They asked me lots of the right questions to get an understanding of where I was at. It hadn't been many days since I was released from the Psychiatric Ward. Then they provided me some great support numbers to use for the interim until they could get me an appointment. They made sure I knew where to go if my mood deteriorated any further.
I left there feeling safe again and ensured I actually had a plan in place if things got worse. I know for a fact if my situation was any worse, they would of called an ambulance right there and then. I had family with me, the staff also made sure that they would watch over me incase anything got worse. Looking back at it, without their help, I do think I may have committed suicide.
I have been attending appointments there since on a regular basis and every time I walk in there, they just make me feel like I'm at home. I purely am only discussing the reception team.
If I ever come across someone that is dealing with a crisis, addiction or mental health issues, I will highly recommend this business.
