"Heart attack"

About: Box Hill Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I suffered a massive heart attack last year whilst a passenger in my daughter's car. She pulled over and rang 000 and an ambulance arrived within about 5 minutes. That ambulance had to request a more heart specific ambulance which also arrived in a matter of minutes and transported me to Box Hill Hospital where I was immediately taken to Emergency and a stenting procedure was performed. I could not fault Box Hill Hospital in any way at all and found the staff to be competent and caring.

Dear zenlag

Thank you so much for providing your story and experience on Patient Opinion. This must have been a really stressful and difficult time for you and your daughter and I am so pleased that both Ambulance Victoria and Emergency Department and Cardiac Services staff at Box Hill Hospital were able to provide the care you needed.

At times such as you have experienced, clinical care needs to be supported by caring and compassionate staff and I am so pleased this was your experience.

I wish you (and your daughter) the very best of health!

Kind regards

David
