"The neuropsychology support at CDAMS, Wantirna"

About: Wantirna Health / Cognitive Dementia and Memory Service (CDAMS)

(as a carer),

A number of years ago, my husband was diagnosed by the Cognitive Dementia and Memory Service, Wantirna with Mild Cognitive Impairment. At the time, the information provided by the neuropsychologist, Lidore about the condition, our options for further information, support and advice about future steps with regard to housing and activities that might be helpful, was particularly appreciated. The reports she provided on her testing done at approximately 15-month intervals, were also helpful. There are times in this disease when the experience of carers can be minimalised. Never Lidore! Her reports confirmed the changes the people around him noticed in my husband and provided guidance on the arrangements that needed to be made. When more recently my husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's her care, thoughtfulness and follow-up were sensitive, acute and as in the past, very thorough. Thank you!

Dear MJ

Thank you for providing your story and feedback on Patient Opinion. With such a progressive disease it is so important to be provided with the best information and support at the right time.

I will make sure your feedback is provided to Lidore as I'm sure receiving your comments and positive feedback will confirm the great job done each and every day. All services at Eastern Health are working to achieve the vision of Great Care Everywhere Everytime and it is evident this service is well on the way (if not there already!!).

Best wishes and kind regards

David
