"My loved one."

About: Sale Hospital

(as a relative),

My loved one was admitted to hospital with chest pain. Even though my loved one is in their late teens, they have had open heart surgery three times so this was a concern. On two occasions I was told by nurses that my loved one was probably drunk which caused their chest pain. My loved one had spent the evening at home with family so they definitely were not drunk. My loved one had an abnormal ECG, so was sent to Melbourne for further treatment which included an angiogram and minor surgery. I thought nurses weren't meant to be judgemental. On the same occasion I happened to be walking past as nurses came out of a meeting. I believe I heard one nurse exclaim - don't anyone asks me for, I'm looking after all the nut cases so I'll be busy.
