"I came to Logan House before for drug problem now I'm back for alcohol."

About: Logan House Residential Rehabilitation Facility

(as a service user),

I feel when I came here a couple of years ago, I came here for the wrong reasons. I didn't admit I was an alcoholic and then two years down the track I found myself angry at everything and everyone because of my bad choices in life to pick up that drink. I stopped going to meetings, never asked for support as I felt I could do this on my own. Then things started getting bad as they do. I lost my job, my mind started going back to the - I hate myself and want to die. That's when I picked myself up and phoned Lives Lived Well and booked myself back in to do a three month program. I feel this time I have accepted that I am an alcoholic and can't do this alone.

Hello bish

It takes courage to put your story out there as you have done. It takes honesty with yourself to acknowledge and accept you can't do this alone. And it takes determination to engage in action; to pick yourself up and to book in for another three month program. Well done. Our hope is that these strengths you have shown already will support you to grow in The Lives Lived Well rehabilitation program at Logan House and to be open to the help and support that is available for you there from staff and residents.

Best wishes for your ongoing journey.

Warm regards

Gerard
