"After Care"

I have had to have three recent ENT surgeries on large vallecular cysts. The first time I presented I had to have emergency surgery. The cysts come back quickly and large in size. The cysts affect my airway and swallowing. After my last two surgeries I was given a private room on the ENT ward. This was fantastic as I was in a lot of pain with my ears and throat. Recently on my third surgery I was taken to a large ward which was very noisy. No rest times and small children making noise. This lack of privacy and noise caused me considerable stress. I also seemed to be forgotten about by the nurses. At 3pm I was offered a sandwich and a cup of tea. Due to the unsettling nature of the ward. I staggered up to the ENT ward begging for a bed and some peace and quiet to recuperate from my major throat surgery and my awake intubation. I also have terrible ear pain caused by too many mouth surgeries. I was advised that I would be staying overnight. I can't understand that I was given a private room for my first two surgeries - the same procedures - and the third time stuck in a ward with over 30 people and a lack of privacy which caused considerable distress. How come my needs where dropped so dramatically post op? My spouse had to leave work early to come and get me from hospital as I was so very distressed. When I got home I was very distressed and had breathing issues and a nose bleed that would not go away. I nearly called a ambulance in the middle of the night because I felt so poorly. I would like to understand the reason why I was put in that ward, not the ENT ward. A shared room of 4 would have been fine too.
