My daughter was 13 weeks pregnant and in pain. Recently, she attended the emergency department at 6:30am. The doctor did an ultrasound test and told my daughter that there was no heart beat and to go to another department where someone will be with you shortly.
My daughter and son-in-law walked to the other department and waited until they were called. My daughter was left in the waiting room for 6 hours without any one asking if she needed assistance or moral support. After waiting so long a doctor came and asked what happened. The doctor explained to my daughter to go home and see if it will happen naturally. At that point we are so disgusted, that the doctor told my daughter to come the next morning at 9am and that she will be seen first. Little did she know, my daughter would have to wait another 6 hours to be seen. The doctor came and inserted 4 tablets in her vagina and said to lay still for half an hour. After that the doctor came in and said you could go home like nothing had happened.
My daughter started to contract with pain and suffered with labour pains for 4 hours and eventually gave birth to her three month old dead child!
The next day my daughter attended back to the hospital and again she waited for another six hours and explained to the doctor what happened. The doctor was sorry to hear what had happened and explained that this is very unusual, that it has never happened before. They did another ultrasound and found that there was too much blood left inside, so they inserted another 4 tablets and sent her home.
My daughter had not even reached the front door to her home and yet another pool of blood came pouring out whilst she was still in her car. My son-in-law had to carry her inside. My family are so disgusted at how Australia's health system operates. We Australian people pay so much in taxes and this is what we get in return? Imagine if this was your daughter!
