I'm saddened by the treatment of staff by patients, I'm here on a regular basis and time and time again I see patients berating the staff due to time. The issue is they can't understand why it takes so long. With the tiny team in this department and the appointment system it is a job well done by this tiny team. We all have to wait and I don't think people see the fantastic job the nurses and specialists do for us (the patients).

Even under the pressure of irate patients the staff hold their tongue and keep calm, great job to you all.

And thank you for what you do.

Dear Fibo86,

Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge the fantastic job our nurses and specialist do on a daily basis. We are proud of our staff's professionalism and compassionate care. The hospital is currently undertaking a review of the clinics and waiting times and are in the planning phase of remodelling the clinics, waiting space and patient booking system to improve our service.

Hi Jennie,

Thank you for your response. I doubt that new protocol will change people's outlook for turning up early and wanting to be served first even with the knowledge that they aren't to turn up sooner than 15 mins prior to their appointment.

Most of the abuse toward your staff has been because people turn up hours early for their appointment and can't understand why they can't/won't be seen before their appointment.

I'm not sure how you'd fix self entitlement.
