Recently I suffered an accident at home which involved an electric hand tool, namely an angle grinder, causing a large incision to my right-hand side.
This necessitated an immediate visit to the Wonthaggi Hospital Emergency Department.
The reception at that department was professional, efficient and comforting and the triage nurse was calming. The doctor that subsequently attended to my 'plight' (injury) was professional, with an excellent manner and was very reassuring in her approach and dealings with my condition.
The medical procedures were carried out, completed and I was made to feel comfortable and safe at all times and aspects of the treatment.
The atmosphere at the Wonthaggi Emergency Department was one of complete reassurance and as such (although my injury was not life threatening, it was of a serious nature as quite a number of sutures were inserted) I was made to feel important and attention to detail was faultless.
The staff there work under a lot of pressure and I believe they are very professional and patient conscious.
My thanks go to the nurse and the doctor who attended to me.
