"Major/complex eye surgery"

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital

(as the patient),

I had a fall that resulted in a complex orbital floor fracture. It caused severe double vision and cause my eye to fall into the sinus. I have been admitted multiple times for surgery, and have another surgery still to come. The treatment I have received has been amazing and so have the staff. A nurse named Chris was so supportive and helpful during the treatment and recovery. There are more staff that I haven't mentioned, but everyone that I have seen has been great. They always remember my name between admissions and help to prepare me for each surgery. I feel that I've been saved from complete blindness. I've felt so cared for and for that I am extremely thankful.

Dear Jpnt,

It is always very pleasing to hear such praise for our staff who strive every day to provide safe quality care to our patients. I have taken the liberty of sharing your kind words with our staff and note your special mention of nurse Chris. It is wonderful to hear you felt cared for during your treatment and thank you for sharing your positive experience on Patient Opinion and with the wider community.

All the best for your upcoming surgery.

Kind regards

Carolyn
