"Food policy."

About: Queensland Children's Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

Recently, Ronald McDonald had a free pancake give out on the ward my child was in. My child was looking forward to this all week. But as my child is not allowed out of their room, and I the parent with them, I was not allowed to bring pancakes to my child's room. According to the Ronald McDonald staff, it was LCCH policy.

Come on LCCH, please do not discriminate against kids who cannot go outside their room. Especially if those kids need to up nutritional intake like oncology and CF (cystic fibrosis) kids.

The odd thing is that LCCH has food outlets without its walls and people bring food from those outlets to rooms.

Whatever archaic policy that creates this nonsense, please change it.
