(as the patient),

I am appalled! I am in agony with a toothache and phoned up only to be told I can't get an appointment for another couple weeks. The tooth is not rotten, but the very large filling has loosened and the nerve is exposed. I can't bite or eat properly. I am sitting her crying because I can't afford a private dentist on a disability pension. Pain killers do nothing as the nerve is exposed. I am so disgusted.

We want you to know that your health does matter to us and we apologise for the wait that is currently being experienced for some appointments at our dental clinics.

We encourage you to contact us so that we can look into your concerns and offer assistance. The Consumer Liaison Service can be contacted on 0409 275 503 or email at WMH_CLO@health.qld.gov.au. Please be assured the offer of assistance is genuine and we would welcome your call.

In the meantime, if you need assistance with pain relief, your General Practitioner may be able to further assist you with pain relief options.
