"Post natal exercise class in Karratha"

About: Nickol Bay Hospital - Population Health

(as a service user),

Compliments to the Nickol Bay Hospital Physiotherapy team in Karratha who run the Wonder Mums Fitness Program.

As a first time mother, the prospect of finding some time for myself to get back into physical activity after the birth of my baby was very daunting, but this class met my needs perfectly. The classes were free of charge and the flexible nature of delivery was so supportive. It didn’t matter if we were having a challenging day and couldn’t make it, or if I needed to stop half way through the class to feed or settle my baby. The exercises were tailored to the needs of new mums and the physios were very approachable and knowledgeable when I had questions specific to my own circumstances.

The classes are also a fantastic way to meet other mums in the community and to get out and get some fresh air. I came away from each session feeling revitalised and empowered at having achieved something for myself, and it has been a great way to build my confidence and ability to get back into other fitness activities.

Well done to the team on offering such a valuable program!
