"Back in Recovery."

About: Logan House Residential Rehabilitation Facility

(as a service user),

I relapsed after a married split up of almost two decades and I felt alone and dejected. But my addict side felt something else, Which was freedom. I was over a year clean when I split up with the ex, but my addict side of me overwhelmed the recovering side of me and the end of recovery was here. I promised myself I would only relapse for a month to have what some people call fun, but to an addict its just disaster waiting to happen. Needless so say almost a year later after crashing in a big way, my life was again unmanageable. I was in full blown addiction. I was in a new rock bottom. I needed more help than ever. I needed to get off the street because I was starting to scare myself. Lucky enough Logan House accepted me into their program. Today I live a very simple life with no complication and just a day at a time.

Hello Living a simple life,

Thank you for your story.

It seems your recovery side has regained control. There are many parts of life that will knock us off balance and old patterns take over for a time. And as you have realised they still don't produce what was promised. Well done in taking the steps you have described in your story. My hope is that the things you have learned in this part of your life journey will enable you to live the life you want.

Lives Lived Well are glad to have been able to support you along the way.

Warm regards

Gerard
