My child had a minor accident at school and I wasn't sure if their injury needed an x-ray or not. After trying to get a Doctor's appointment without success, I took my child to the ED. I really want to emphasise how amazing the triage nurse was. She was incredibly professional, friendly and kind towards my child who was in pain.  I know she was busy with very sick people who really needed emergency care and my child's issue wasn't urgent, but she was still amazing towards my child and myself. The young doctor who looked at my child's injury was also incredibly professional and had a lovely manner with my child. After an x-ray, my child got the all-clear, no broken bones. 

I wanted to share my experience because I truly believe there has been a major shift in this emergency department. My past experiences in recent years have not been as pleasant. Staff have been rude and unhelpful. But this was definitely not the case for our visit today. I only wish I had taken note of the triage nurse's name and also the doctor's, because I'd like to make sure they receive recognition for their exemplary service.

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us your story. It means a lot to us.

Our staff in the Emergency Department have been working hard and doing a wonderful job to provide friendly, high quality care for our patients and often under very busy conditions.

I will definitely be able to identify who your child's triage nurse and doctor were and I will take a great deal of pleasure in passing on your feedback personally.
